I like the idea of a manga. With a longer, more serious story than in the comics.
Isn't Dark Horse pretty much giving us that?

Speaking of which I want a Hellboy/Avatar crossover comic, just because adding Hellboy makes anything instantly awesome.

they will apparently release a new series of comics that will fill out the hole between The last airbender and Legend of Korra.

After they have released avatar the lost adventures.

Most likely before Korra, so that it will lead up to it.

But that's just more comics, isn't it?

It there any reason to assume this will be a long story instead of all short ones?

They're going to be full Graphic Novels. That's 100+ pages of a single story, unbroken. That's what the manga volumes you kids buy are. Heck, most manga titles are published weekly in Japan, and give the story out in little bits. We only get the Collected Editions outside Japane.

^ Really? Where did they say that? What will it be about?

Well, I'm glad to hear it, anyway. More long stories about the Gaang sounds cool. Smiley

(Most manga volumes are 200+ pages, btw, with several volumes a series. Also, we're about the same age.)

Going back to the original press release that no one wants to read:

"Additionally, Dark Horse will create all-new Airbender stories that will be published as digest-style original graphic novels—conveniently sized paperback collections—in early 2012. Picking up where the season three finale left off, this new series will follow the further adventures of Aang and his friends, as they help to rebuild a world torn apart by 100 years of war."

Digest-style = manga-sized
Original = all new
graphic novel = more than 100 pages all in a single volume, telling a single story (with sub-plots, possibly)

I'm sure you can parse the rest of it.

Also, we're about the same age.

"It's not the years, honey, it's the mileage."

I like to think of myself as a bitter, regretful old man in the body of a sexy, sexy twenty-something. Now get off my lawn. Crazy kids.

Some T-shirts? I've searched the internet far and wide, but have yet to come across a legitimate T-shirt. Although, I did come across some shirts that had the element symbol of the front. Those were pretty awesome.

I like everything listed. But here's something I didn't see.
I would like an Appa Pillow Pet.

Updated my profile in 2016 here, it's sad to see that my picture and signature went away. Also sad to see the size of the community; was it always this small? Ah, nostalgia....

Ace: Aang. OR airbender avatar BEFORE Aang, since he isnt really grown up yet, so it should have a pattern of grown up aces
King: Monk Gyatzo (Monkey Atso Grin)
Queen: Aang's Mom (or other female air nomad)
Jack: Phyco (not sure how to spell it) air bender that was the last pick in their air scooter game.  OR Aang

There's this new project some people at my school are putting together to travel to places of inspiration for the series. They want to put together some type of merc for the fandom after like a book of art and photography and/or a documentary of sorts. They've already been in contact with Nick (and Bryke!)

They need lots of signatures of support to make this happen! But it'd be awesome to could produce something for the fandom! Their link is http://whitelotus.launchrock.com/.

Thanks!
