I can't even think of 60 great cartoons, so this doesn't really surprise me. Cheesy

Terrible, terrible list. Family Guy ahead of South Park? Scooby Doo ahead of B:TAS? Geez.

The first time TV Guide ever even mentioned ATLA was the Day of Black Sun two-parter's initial airing, and then the finale. I stopped reading it by the time LoK started, but you'd think it would have gotten more coverage if they liked it so much.

Spongebob made the top ten? -.- Even though the first 3-4 seasons of it were pretty good it still doesn't deserve to be in the top ten. -.-

The first few seasons are great, I'm okay with Spongebob making it. And I'm fine with The Simpsons being at the top.

I dunno, I certainly enjoyed Spongebob (my mom and I still catch "Mid-Life Crustacean" whenever it shows because we love watching the panty raid bit) but considering how steadily downhill it's been going since the movie, I don't think it should be on any 'great' cartoon list. We can totally disagree though.

Spongebob is easy for me like that simply because there's such a clean break between the good stuff and the not-so good to bad stuff. Its like everything up to and including the movie is the Spongebob I love, and I forget the rest exists.

We can totally disagree though.

No. No we can't!

Err, I still like older Spongebob though. And the show has gotten more immature if anything.

it should so made top 10! I demand a recount!

Eh, I'l just convince myself that it made #11.  Also, not really sure what Scooby-Doo is doing ranked higher than Batman or South Park.

I can understand why some of those shows made the top ten list and are considered classics(Simpson's, Flintstones). "Peanuts" has always has a special place in my heart because it was my first favorite cartoon. Avatar the Last Airbender would be on my list.  Other cartoons that I would put on my personal list would be "Sonic the Hedgehog," "Redwall," and "Voltron."

I don't know of this belongs in this thread, or in one of the Nostalgia Critic threads, but his latest review of The Shining tv miniseries features a clip of Foamy's reaction:

The setup for the gag starts at 19:30.

Kind of avatar trainspotting, on last night's episode of "Once Upon A Time in Wonderland" Alice rode a giant turtle. I know was not a lion turtle, but it was enough to remind me of Avatar.

Let us all remember the extreme hype we felt when this trailer showed up on youtube :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5QUHLGytdA

To this day, this thing gives me the chills (Those reactions) . Huge amount of nostalgia there. I would have screamed with them if I was there to the point that I would probably lose my voice for a day or two  Cheesy. Maybe one day in Korra panel... MAYBE.

Very interesting. Maybe Bryke did some geographical research during the books.

This is a discussion about whether or not Avatar and Korra should be considered anime. Kind of interesting, although the guy in the video seems a little hyper. You only need to watch the first half, the second half is just responding to emails about his last video.

Looks like Aang opened up a business in Los Santos, San Andreas.
