When I searched for "cine-manga" on Wikepedia I was redirected to a page about Animanga, which is apparently a style of manga that uses anime cels instead of hand-drawn images for panels.

Volume one of the cinimanga has been out for a while.  You can buy it on Amazon, and it's published by Tokyopop.  The last time a checked their website, Tokyopop didn't have it listed as one of their products, though, but I've seen Amazon's page for it.  And according to Bluespiritgal.com, the second book is to be realeased at the end of May.  The site also contains a scan of two inside pages.  Personally, I don't like the layout... Undecided

According to the info I've gathered, each book is only one chapter, but Vol. one contains extra info on each of the nations.

^Lost?!  What is this madness?  LOL.  I haven't bought a copy, and after seeing a scan of the layout, I'm not sure that I will.  It looks very sloppy, and that really pushed a button with me.  I guess that I've been reading manga for so long that I've come to expect perfect order, and anything else is just unpleasant.

I own a copy of volume 1 and 2 (they both came out earlier then they were supposed to), the cine mangas are not that special but are good for reference if you dont feel like popping in a DVD, the first one is the best so far though as it has some pretty decent info on the four nations, the secomd only has info on the avatar animals

My brother has the first one.  It's okay... but not great.  Nowhere near as good as the show.  Of course, I hadn't seen episode one when I first read it, so I liked it then.  It's confusing to start from season 2.  If you want Avatar in book form, this is as good as you're gonna get, but it's not that bad either.

It would have been best to take this to The Marketplace where we discuss Avatar merchandise. In fact, using the SEARCH feature would have yielded a discussion already taking place on this very topid. I'll merge this with that one for you.

Yeah. I got Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. They're pretty good if u want to like relive the episodes without watching it. In the second one Zuko says a lot of stuff he never said in the episode, tho.

I just bought it in the local newspaper shop here in Flanders. They got it in Dutch too, you see. It's basically just screenshots of the first two episodes in comic book form. It costs 7 Euros (or a tiny bit less) for each book. I bought it so now I have got printed references of Avatar characters if I want to draw any. It's printed really nicely too. And now I know the Dutch terms for everything as well, cause I watched all the eps in English.

I liked the info for the four types of bending that was in the first book. In the second book there was info about animals.
I wonder if they ever made a 3d book or more?

I, personally, cant stand cine-mangas. I would rather have a true Avatar manga; not this cine-crap. Sorry but I just hate cine-mangas.

I know how you feel, when I sa it on tokyopop.com I wanted to puke. Not that I would order it even if it was something I was interested in since Tokyo Pop has some suspicious proceedures in it's online dealings reguarding credit cards.

There's at least 3 because you can buy them as a pack, but I haven't seen any more than that.

Plus, this should be in the Merchandise sub-forum.

You should re-word that sentence. I myself would like to see a preview but there aren't any available on the official website. I just want to see what 2 panels look like before I place some cash in somebody's hand.

"Emo" is a bad adjective, please think hard before using it to describe people. "Emoing, "Emoly" and "Emoish" are not clever words. Neither is "Emo-tastic".
