Cool episode. There was singing and Zhurick. I am satisfied. Also Hiroshi died and it was pretty hardcore.

Also, where is Mako? Nevermind, found him.

10/10, good run up to the finale.

Hiroshi coming back wasn't really a surprise, but it was good. Sacrificing himself did come as a surprise though.

Hiroshi's demise was pretty easy to see coming, but still, quite the shock. Flattened hummingbird and everything.

Also, about time you did the thing, Varrick.

I hate those hummingbirds. I don't believe the wings would provide that kind of lift at all.

I'm actually sad to see Hiroshi go; I'm glad he and Asami reconciled before the end. That was a pretty gnarly heroic sacrifice. Lots of other close calls in this episode, pretty cuhrazy stuff. The battle with the Colossus was intense and I loved the whole thing.

Oh my God. When Kuviria swiped at them with her laser cannon and took out the tops of those buildings. Yeesh! She's actually literally destroying Republic City! So much for that scenic skyline yo...

Peace on Avatar, before peace in real life

I will post a full review tomorow, this is just my instant reaction thoughts.

Well it is a good start to the finale. I thought Wu's plan was pretty good, and even Meelo came up with a good idea.

Varrick and Zhu Li engaged that was nice, the is better than all of the romance in the first two seasons. And Zhu Li last name is Moon, was that a inside joke or just a conisidence, no way way when this was written and recorded that they knew that Zhu Li voice actress was the new voice of Sailor Moon. Could they?

I know there was no time, I kind like to have seen Hiroshi and Bataar Jr interact, they are in similar situation trying to make ammends with their family. They don't have to talk to each other, just an acknowledgement that they are in a similar place.

I had a feeling Hiroshi was going to die, especially when Asami kept saying hurry up, I thought to myself "he is not going to make it".

I am very pleased that we didn't have giant cosmic Korra facing against Kuvira's mech. That would have been too much. This was a great finale and I will have to watch it again in order to tell the difference between episodes.

First episode is until they get into the Colossus. Second episode is everything after that Tongue

So when Meelo's face went splat against Kuvira's windshield, I lol'ed. Like, just startled a laugh out of me.

Also, Varrick is of the Southern Water Tribe, yet he grew up on a farm with an ostrich horse? Immigrant child?

I like how they started out doing all the things to the colossus that we've been saying on this forum, only to have the colossus inexplicably able to get out of it all. I'd say it's well designed, but I have no idea how Kuvira manages to stay standing, let alone keep manipulating the thing throughout all its balance issues.

Varrick's proposal felt a bit out of nowhere, or I could say Varrick's pretty darn good at acting oblivious. Sometimes I wish we could have gotten a peak into his head, but then I'd fear for our sanity. Still, this bit put a smile on my face.

This episode was rather stuttery for me, so I'll have to rewatch it later, but cool beans.

Oh my gosh that was insane! I don't even know where to begin...

Hooray for Wu for being a smart/funny guy
Daw got a few lines! I never thought we would see him again!
Zhurrick engagement! I am dying!
Hiroshi's sacrifice was insanely well-done. It looks like the Asami scenes in 405 were completely necessary.
Baatar ended up rejecting Kuvira. Big surprise. I wonder if he will serve jail time.

Overall, this episode was amazing!

I'm going to get my obligatory "what an ass!" moment out of the way now.

Was I the only one who busted out laughing when Kuvira swatted Hiroshi's hummingbird?  And then laughed even harder seeing the wreck just slide off like a mosquito off of oiled skin?

You've turned a tragedy into comedy with a well-worded description. Bravo, sir.

That Zhurrick proposal made me laugh harder than almost any other scene in the franchise. It was so great.

Wow... That was pretty freakin' epic. Smiley

Zhurrick FTW! "Zhu Li, will you do the thing for the rest of our lives?" Grin

And dang, that was, um... a pretty intense last scene. I mean, Hiroshi, dang...

I've never loved and hated a line simultaneously so hard in all my life.

Of course my first response when hearing it is, "Ohhhh, you'll be doing the thing a loooooot for the rest of your lives. Cheesy"

...

Oh shut up, y'all were thinking it.

That was quite an epic and heart pounding fight sequence.

And of course, Hiroshi's death was seen coming a mile away when he entered the office. =(

I wonder what Kuvira trying to swat Meelo would be like for an Metalbending move? A facepalm lol.

I see that as being a bit of meta-humor.  The animators sneakily inserting their opinion on having to animate the little snot-ball.

On the plus side though, Meelo saving his dad was actually kinda badass.  Cool seeing him blow air out of his feet like a jet.  Wish he'd use that more than his...

...

You know. <_<
