Peace on Avatar, before peace in real life

I understand they didn't have time to get much into their backstory on the four, but I want to know more about the Red Lotus four. So perhaps we might do some shorts on them, like when Ming Hu lost her arm, Ghazan relationship with his older sister, that warlord that had P'Li in his army, and how Zaheer rescued her, etc. So perhaps we can some comic shorts showing that stuff, come on give us that.

Unless it's a Korra comic, I don't think so.
Maybe a small reference like mention of Guru Laghima from Aang but that's all, the Red Lotus "belong" to Korra.

Yeah, if a comic book prequel series to Korra is releassed, I think we could see the part they referred when Zaheer tried to kidnap baby Korra with the rest of his team.

I think the Red Lotus warrants its own Origins story. I mean, there was one for Furious 5 from Kung Fu Panda! Korra writers can certainly eke one out from our amazing supervillain team...

I'd be thrilled to see Zaheer's fighting style BEFORE he was an airbender Cheesy

More importantly, I want to see how Old Sokka beat the crap out of him.

I'd want a new artist team if it came to exploring Zaheer's early style; Gurihiru doesn't really put much effort into martial art accuracy.

In addition to Sokka laying the smackdown on Zaheer, I'd like to see exactly how Tonraq "put [him] away once before." In other words, I wanna see a daddy fighting for his little girl, and winning.

will we see an "origin" story for the red lotus? i hope so.

for some fans, when things are not resolved in the show, it disappoints them. for me, all i can think is, "EXTENDED UNIVERSE COMIC FODDER!!" granted, some stories need to be wrapped up, i feel avatar has too much and can live on.

Any storyline you explore, you can open the door a thousand ways. i would love to know luten's story, the freedom fighters, heck... did foamy ever open an avatar aang souvenir shop?

Rewatching "the Stakeout" made me think more about this topic. I think the beginnings of the Red Lotus happened more near the end of Aang's life but we might if the comics go on long enough. From what has been said in Korra, it sounds like the split in the White Lotus happened because some, or a few, members disagreed with the White Lotus openingly fallowing Aang too closely, and working with Aang(and disagreeing) on what he wanted to do. For now, at the very least, I could see the White Lotus getting more involved in things.

Huh, I think "FANFIC FODDER!!" It's less disappointing, all around.

This has much more potential than what anyone would think. The Rift is giving us some bakground on Yangchen, so it would make sense for new comics to delve into their characters. Ming Huan and Ghazan really needed some character development and I would not complain if we get some backstory for those two in a comic. In fact it would be an amazing way to explore these characters in ways the show couldn't.

But four babies playing a game can make a playworld which licks your real world hollow... I'm on Aslan's side even if there isn't any Aslan to lead it. I'm going to live as like a Narnian as I can even if there isn't any Narnia.

I'd love LoK comics.

But...what I really want the most is a 4-5 episode OVA. Call it a Book 0 or whatever. I want to experience the death of the Airbenders, Red Lotus backstory with Unalaq, Red Lotus's attempt's to kidnap Korra with Unalaq in animation. Tongue

The Red Lotus has insane potential for comics.
-Zaheer: Why he is so interested in the Air Nomads, his fighting prowess as a nonbender
-Ming Hua: How she learned to waterbend without arms
-Ghazan: Did he invent lavabending, or was it taught?
-P'Li: The warlord that tried to use her as a weapon

I really want to see the Red Lotus meetings with Team Zaheer and Unalaq and the attempt to kidnap Korra.
