We know that Varrick has some shady deals with the triads. The terrorist bombers were firebenders (of course, they were wearing red  ), so could it be that Varrick ordered the bombing to make it appear that it was the NWT people who did it? |

Man, they're definitely going there with Varrick, aren't they? Rumors of his Triad involvement, Triple Threat (?) guys responsible for the attack, Varrick using the attack for political ammunition... yeah, things are going badly with him, I imagine!
And Unalaq's suddenly seeming more reasonable again...? He's more interested in the spirit portal than the war...

Korra is gradually becoming my least favorite Avatar character ever. Mako says he fought a FIREBENDER and Korra just sweeps it aside, blames the North? She's starting to grate on me.
And something is so off about the Chief's character design. Meh.

Episode's been great so far. Even though she could have handled it better and she's still making mistakes I'm starting to feel Korra's reactions better now after the second half of last episode and so far this one, the battle's personal so she's not taking everything in. I think it also helps she's not snapping at people we like like Tenzin right now. Also, "Have you reaaaly seen Republic City at night?" I doubt Varrick was involved in the bombing, though he may still not end up as good as he seems, he's pretty open so far about his shadiness, like how he just said he backed both potential Presidents in the last election lol. Bolin interview ...er...did they just bomb a building O___O
