I was hoping it would be Ozai himself. I'd like to see what he can do before the last battle.

Get back on topic please guys. Speculation on the identity of the Fire Nation commander for a possible future siege of Ba-Sing-Se is not related to these episodes. Try the "Theories" string or make a new string in the WOA forum. Thanks.

THe battle scenes and the fights are simply awesome, I never expect animation to contain such action-packed stuff...

My hats off to the animators who utilize their creativity with the waterbenders...watching them  fending off the fire nation really sweep me off...

Plus...Sokka and Yue parting really breaks my heart... :'(

Yea I was pretty amazed that Aang can join forces with a spirit (in this case the Ocean Spirit) to create a spirit monster that he controls. ^ ^ Also that Creature/Aang had some amazing waterbending skilzzz like when he slashed his claw into the ship and it sliced right off like scissors on paper.  All in all it was an awesome finale.  Tongue

We were watching this last night and my dad (who hasn't seen like any of Avatar) says:"They sure are playing that Zuko guy sympatheticly."

The rest of us looked at eachother and burst out laughing. Cheesy

Zuko's speech made me cry...
*sniffle*

It was so sad. Part II was probably one of the most saddest episodes of Avatar.

I loved this episode, one of my favorites. The Sokka/Yue moments were touching, but that's not just what made the episode awesome. The animation was sweet, I loved the part where it went black and white. And yes Iroh was just so cool. And another moment I loved was Anng going Avatar State, seriously one of the best episodes ever!

I liked Pakku beating the tanks then calmy going into his stance and doing the water tornado, plus this epi has one of Aang's best lines "No, it's not over.", I love that line.

When he went into the Avatar state? Definitely, an awesome line there.

Zuko's monologue was also very moving, not to mention how, at the very end, Princess Yue's father tells Sokka that he foresaw her becoming the moon, and that he was proud... and yet, very sad.

I must say that Yue really bugged me. She knew she was engaged and yet hid her necklace and didn't tell Sokka about it. Having said that I will sit here and wait for an angry mob to hunt me down.

I don't think Lord Ozai has any love for Zuko at all. From Seige of the North (Part 2), Zuko quoted: My father said that my sister (Azula) was born lucky, while I was lucky to be born. The only people who cares for Zuko are Uncle Iroh (who confessed that he took in Zuko as a son) and Ursa (Zuko's mother).

The waterbending forms were what blew me away about this episode. especially when a master and two students would attack in unison: like the ultimate war dance. such poetry of movement!

Katara rules! Katara kicks butt! You do not want to enrage the sugar queen. Especially when she's surrounded by ice and water.

I was thinking...why doesn't Aang, like, freeze to death during his "captivity"?  Zuko just dumps him on the frozen ground.  He's hardly dressed for the cold.  Come to think of it, why doesn't Aang ever wear a hat during his stay at the north pole?  How does he not get frostbite?  Being in the Avatar State may have kept him warm (think how the spirit oasis was warmer than its surroundings) while he was in Zuko's clutches but that doesn't explain the rest of the time...
