Hmm, this is directly after Avatar_Mom's Avatar Legacy fan panel in the same room. I had other panels to see after her panel and now I am tempted to stay. Decisions, decisions...

^heh. that's very faithful to the cartoon, even the face. too bad, leaves no hint to how the adaptation is going to look...

(or the adaptation looks 100% like the cartoon, which is also a problem :-/ )

I'd do dark, disgusting things for a decent ATLA videogame, though my dream Avatar game would be a 2D fighting game like the ones from Arc System Works (the people behind Blaz Blue, the Persona 4 Arena titles and the recent Dragon Ball Fighter Z).

I highly doubt it's for the live-action show. They probably wouldn't bother making a temporary model that detailed if they're going to be doing something photo-realistic later. And there's no way something like that is going to be iterated into photorealism; it would have to be a placeholder.

On the other hand, it looks exactly like what I'd expect of an early version of a video game character.

Good question, but we're in the Wild Times now, man. Netflix is making a live-action remake of the cartoon being overseen by the Mike and the Bryan. Nothing makes sense anymore. Sure, let's do a vidoe game based on the cartoon. Let's do a live-action movie set in its own continuity while the Netflix series is still airing. Let's do a hardcover graphic novel based on the early series bible where Iroh is evil and Toph and Azula are both dudes, scripted by Tim Hedrick with art by Masashi Kishimoto and variant covers by David Peterson.

I am conflicted about Netflix as a whole because they seem to be following the path of Disney if expanding on already famous franchises

both in a good and bad way
