Let us see this gAang: 5 plus Suki, Mai, Ty Lee (and the other Kyoshi Warriors), Teo, Smellerbee, Haru, The Duke... the ones that came to my mind now, I'm pretty sure there are more. We could include others, not so young, such as Juno, and many others. Iroh was a great friend of them, their parents and relatives... And I'm not considering, like someone have already mentioned, new friends, they were so young by the end of Atla...

No one was really friends with Haru. They were pretty much humoring him.

Which is weird.

They were friends in his Intro episode. Especially Katara.

But then he comes back and he is practically ignored.

Forced to hang out with The Duke and Teo to "explore" the ruins.

If I was with Aang, I would have felt so awkward.

Like they don't really care about me.

I don't know why anyone would hate Haru. He seemed like a nice enough guy.
