^Yeah, and 14 episodes for one season feels really short to me anyway, and of course, 12 is even shorter... I think they kinda need more seasons, I think it would almost seem rushed if they didn't.

Well I'm wondering how much they can really do with their premise. Unlike Aang who had to travel the world and master all four elements, Korra already knows her stuff, and apparently doesn't really leave the city. Of course I don't know anymore about the plot than you do, but 2 seasons of fighting Equalists doesn't sound too thrilling. Don't get me wrong, I'm PUMPED for this show! Republic City looks amazing, and I can't wait to hear what The Track Team wrote for the soundtrack.

^Don't worry they'll have much more to the plot than just fighting equalist. M&B are writing (at least the 1st season) themselves, and they have some great ideas and made some great storylines in the original show. I'm sure they can think of some more stuff season 2 or even a season 3. Heck they might of even of expected to be making them.

Sounds good. I loved their intricate storyline in the last show. I hope the fact that Nickelodeon has changed over the past few years doesn't affect the popularity of the show. I feel that most of the current fan base is older than typical Nick viewers, and with most other cartoons on that station being so simplistic, I wonder if many young audiences will relate to such an awesome show. I think they will, what's not to love?

@Cabbageman, if Bryke creates this show to be as widely accessible as their prior offering, I can see a huge success for this series. After all, my parents, my sister, Aunt alongside a whole range of people love the show or know of it and like what they've heard of it. I have barely heard of an animated series in American history that has done what franchises in Japan and other countries have done so far unless I've missed one. If kids could like the Animorphs phenomenon, which was as mature of a kids show/book franchise as anything from Rowling, I bet they would love Korra. I know for sure they aren't going to complete fan service for us fans but to give us newer meat to chew off the bone so to speak.

Then again, our franchise has been made for change unlike many other animated franchises since it features reincarnation in the same kind of premise that Tezuka's Phoenix had with those characters which kept on reincarnating in several forms.

Ok, guys! Its all explained now, someone said this on the winx forum:

Quote
The Nickelodeon Sizzle commercial was originally for 2011!
It was just for people to what's on Nickelodeon.
Hence why the Legend of Korra animation wasn't completed.
It was showed at Brand Licensing and Brand Licensing Europe and possibly the Toy Fair!
IT'S NOT A TV COMMERCIAL.

So, yep (i actually think this is what the dude that put it on his yt was trying to say, because he said something about a toy fair, it was just terribly misinterpreted) that kind of ends it. But I don't know about the animation not being completed, yeah it was just sketches, but they couldn't animate anything for it? I guess it really wasn't for many people to be seen. It's not a commercial!

^ Which means that the name is Avatar the legend of Korra.

Which really was the only thing you all were worried about when you thought it was a fake.  Tongue

Actually...never mind. People aren't talking about the commercial anyway. I'll just change the thread name and put the news on the first page.

The fact this was shown at a Toy Fair means one thing:

KORRA TOYS.

And this means even more:
TOYS OF A FEMALE ACTION HERO.
That's one big step for humanity.

Unless they make Amon toys and Mako and Bolin toys, and perhaps a Spirit Aang in Water Tribe costume toy, and then forget that the show is called Legend of KORRA...

You know, I don't understand why they think boys won't get female action figures. They're obviously not Barbies (which is why I am guessing.)

I'm sure my little brother who is in that target age group would get a Korra action figure. I asked him what he thought about the new Avatar being a girl and he thinks it's awesome. (the kid was 4 when it came out and he loved it and understood it very well for being so little). I then asked him if it was gonna suck that the main character was a girl instead of a boy and he just looked at me and said, "I'm not sexist!"

I have no idea why companies think boys are sexist, because they aren't. At this age, girls and boys play together on the playground and are best friends.

No, I take it back; this is even more hilarious! XDXDXD They did something like this on Shake It Up once (yes, I watch Disney Channel, get over it Tongue). The Jabbawockeez were dancing on the show, and Cece wanted to know what one of them looked like cause they always wear masks. So she snuck up behind one of them and yanked the mask off him, but there was just another mask underneath XD

Also, Naruto did the gag even earlier. Anyone want to recall an older one?
