MMKAY SO I'll do icons, sigpics, sets, and desktop backgrounds. Here are some examples of mine: Desktop examples: 1 + 2. (Please don't use these as your own, though I obviously can't stop you; they were made for my best friend.) My rules be simple: don't have to credit, but don't claim it as your own, and remember I'm both a student and a working girl and thus I can't fill all requests within a day. Also, I am not Miley Cyrus. If you decide to use it off-site, you must credit, however. Form:Type: (icon/sigpic/set/desktop bg) Size: (if desktop bg) Pics: (please give me decent-quality, medium-to-large pictures to use; also, non-Avatar related material is perfectly alright) Color scheme: (warm colors? blues? purples? greens?) Text: (also, any kind of font you specifically want?) Anything else? (a certain kind of motif, any textures or brushes you want me to use, etc.) I will probably also dump freebies here from time to time. Thread shall be closed after 3 requests. KGO

Wow, these are pretty neat! I love what you did with the Beach pic, and the grunge and other textures you used on the second set go great with the image and placement of everything.

Thank you so much for the compliment. I wish I could provide more examples, but I haven't really done anything recently, and I prune my picture folder every once in a while. I'll probably do a bit more in my free time the next few days.

You're very unique, which is the best quality to have on graphics forums (in my opinion). I saw your signature elsewhere on the forum and was impressed enough to look at your topic.

Oh, wow. That's so nice of you to say, thank you. :> It's so funny that you say I'm unique, because I always feel like my style is ripped off of everyone else! I do something and I say, "Oh damn. That person already did it, and ten times better." Then I get all murdery discouraged.

^Do NOT get discouraged. As Moses said, you have a very unique style, and a lot of raw talent. Then again, I don't know how long you've been making graphics... WELL YOU HAVE TONS OF TALENT ANYWAYS! The brightness, saturation, and design of your graphics is super well-done. I can't wait to see what you come up with in the future!

Your second sig poses a style I've seen so many times in so many places. But that aside, it doesn't mean your style is ripped off, or that your stuff is not as good as someone who did the same thing. That sig was still pretty kick@$$, and despite it being a style commonly used, it doesn't look ripped off or cheap at all. Everyone follows similar, but not the same gudelines for making stuff. You followed guidelines that does, in the end, make this your own style, and not your own style at the same time. ..That just sounded like a load of sweet, sugary, confusing BS, but it's my way of going against your comments of being a rip-off. As for your icons, I love the scrapbook feel on some of them. You remind me of myself from the past a bit, I believe there was a time when I added "yo" at the end of my title, and on some of my icons. I find the word hilarious. You must learn selctive coloring. MUST. But only because I heart <# bright, slightly gaussianed blurred coloring.

^Hmmm I wouldn't go as far to say that, Tongone. Your graphics work on soooooo many levels. Take this one for example. (My favorite btw) You used a single pic. Which is tough to do. Considering all the vast possibilities out there. Mind bottling really. And made something truly amazing. The pastel backdrop says alot about you, you're classy yet distinctly subtle. Still can't get over the expression on Mai's face. An instant classic... if I ever saw one.

I think I just made a failed attempt to say that her style isn't a "rip-off." Mandy, Almost Honest's comments above somewhat translate all that complicated, idiotic mess I made above. So just ignore my last post, and just stick with her explanation.

Extra: Just anything totally romantic and nice that really is pretty in that picture (Meaning that it compliments the kiss and the whole scene.) that will make me squee like the little fangirl that I am when it comes to RoLo. Just some pretty coloring, I know you come up with some nice style and stuff like you seem to be totally used to doing. So TADA. Thank you so very much Mandy, I am totally loving your graphics as always and I can't wait to see what you come up with here!! This icon will probably have a lovely home in my LiveJournal account. So thank you dear, thank you muches indeed! Can't wait to see what you do!

If a post looks too kind to be true, it probably is. Wordy praise in large amounts can often be misleading. Think of it like parents glorifying their 5-year-old's crayon coloring - it's done to make the child happy, whether he's a master at coloring or not. The best replies you can get will have criticism, which will help you get better. That being said, pay attention to the signatures that people are using, and make your signatures stand out against them. You've made great progess already by not conforming to the 400x200 size. Remember, not all signatures have to be rectangular. Also, I don't recommend using a flat screen monitor (not that you are). Many people don't realize how different things look when compared to a regular monitor. Flats can make everything look much brighter, and in turn ruin pictures. My stuff looks awful on flat screens.

Thank you, everyone. And EndlessFlame, here's your icon: I hope you like it. I was going to post it with some freebies, but I'm having trouble being inspired tonight. I suppose I shouldn't push it. HOW DARE U SAY THAT I AM THE BEST asdo8fjasodafnsSDFSF Just kidding. Thanks for the input, truly. My reactions are mostly shock, because I've never gotten this much praise before. That said, I'll look out for people who just seem to be along for the ride on the Mandy-boat. I don't think anyone is so far, however. Everyone feels honest right now. That being said, pay attention to the signatures that people are using, and make your signatures stand out against them. Righto. I do that subconsciously anyway, I think. Also, I don't recommend using a flat screen monitor (not that you are). Many people don't realize how different things look when compared to a regular monitor. Flats can make everything look much brighter, and in turn ruin pictures. My stuff looks awful on flat screens. I am using a flat screen, you stalker! Haha. Holy @#%$@ it's terrible. I have to bend it a million and one angles to make sure whatever I'm working on looks decent. Sometimes it'll be oversharpened and I won't see it because I'm looking at it in a way that makes it look too soft. Or, the colors will be totally different than how they appear to others.

along for the ride on the Mandy-boat.
I demand that you form this into some kind of slogan. Also, qq about the flat screen. I was forced to use one for close to a year before, and it was just awful. Edit: Also realized my current set looks awful on flats. Switched back to an old one. Edit 2: I also like italian ice.

Just because a post contains a lot of praise, doesn't mean it's untrue. I tend to focus on the positive, and leave others the job of criticizing and changing other people's work. Everything I say I believe in, and I mean 100%. If your comments were somehow directed at what I said anyways... If not, please disregard this post. That being said, congrats on your first request, Mandy! I look forward to seeing your designs in the future.

*takes a deep breath and lets out this very obnoxious squee* EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENESSSSS!! That is...totally, totally beautiful Mandy love! Totally beautiful indeed! When I first requested the icon, I was worried that with all the blue and the smallish image that it would be rather difficult for you to make something good with the picture. Because if that was the case I was going to come back in here and pick another picture. BUT GOODNESS. That just shows how totally talented you are indeed! I totally was not expecting it to be down this soon, nor be THIS EPICLY PRETTY. This is love dear. Pure love indeed. I totally love it to bits, and I'm so happy you manged to do it so pretty! Thank you dear. It's amazing, and it's going to have such a happy place on my LiveJournal account. And the bright reds and blues you did here? It compliments it. Totally a great icon, I'm happy you made it for me. THANKS AGAIN. AND PFFFFFFFF. You deserve the praise you're getting here. You're extreamly talented.

The banner is nice. I'd like to see what it looks like with the left and right pictures taken off, though (which shouldn't be hard if you have the layers). Keep everything else except those side 2 pictures.

I went to go do that to see how it looked, and then I realized the lighter squares at the top and bottom have been erased from behind the sideTophs. So, you're left with splotches shaped like the sideTophs. I could replace the lighter squares again, but I forgot the settings I left them at to get them that way. D'oh. (The outer glow, specifically, not the layer blending settings.) Excuse me if I make no sense, I've had four bottles of cream soda.
