Jesse McCartney talks about Avatar

First like to say hello to everyone. I've been coming to this site for some time now, getting updates regarding Avatar.

On Friday Jan 23, 2009, Jesse McCartney talk on the JohnJay and Rich morning show, a radio show in Tucson Phoenix Az, Colorado Spring CO, and Porland OR.

On the show, Jesse talk about the new Chipmunk 2 movie and about being cast for The Last Airbender. Everyone might find this entertaining.

Um, yeah, definite agreement here. Can someone please clarify how Jesse said that line? Because I'm hoping it was more innocent then it comes out written down. I mean it has to be, right?

Well, I can forgive him for not watcing the final two seasons, as this is only the first movie.

Even then, those are some pretty irresponsible statements to make, considering how much flake his selection to play Zuko was already creating. He is supposed to be a professional after all and I can't believe he opened his mouth to talk about something he has absolutely no idea about.

Well, I can forgive him for not watcing the final two seasons, as this is only the first movie.  

It is but in order to really understand the character, one has to know the whole story right? I mean how can he portray the real Zuko if he doesn't even know how the journey ultimately ends up? He was not 'evil' at all, even in the first season. He was just misguided, hurt and believed in a false ideology. I hope he doesn't make Zuko like some cold hearted evil murderer types villain.

My friend was so upset when I told her that Jesse, a singer she hates, is going to be playing Zuko, her favorite character on Avatar. As soon as she hears about this, she's gonna be pissed.

And I quote myself from a post in the movie thread earlier today...

I've really warmed up to the actors and their roles, except Jesse McCartney as Zuko. But in a few months time, who knows? Maybe I'll grow to like him, also.

Yeah... no. Not anymore. He better be the best darn Zuko ever to earn my accepting of him.

I'm actually starting to like Jackson whats-his-face.  When he did an interview about the movie, he sounded like he genuinely knew what it was about, and was really interested.

I'm actually starting to like Jackson whats-his-face.  When he did an interview about the movie, he sounded like he genuinely knew what it was about, and was really interested.

Jackson really does the research on the roles he does. He's my hero.

And JM has succeeded in upseting the entire Avatar fandom. Half were already annoyed when he was cast because he's not Asian. Now the other half is going to be mad that he knows nothing about Avatar. Good luck gaining back that support, JM.

That is annoying... because calling Avatar an "anime" is almost like calling a wolf a dog. It loses its originality. So I also vote for the strapping of the chair.
