I think Iroh may be a bit to old to work.

Maybe a younger Iroh perhaps?

Maybe a younger Iroh perhaps? OR Iroh and Chan - who he took under his wing to teach him the ways of flirting and tea.

^^That could work. Now we should figure out who can perform the theme song.
And Chan isn't worthy of Iroh's love!

^The nomads or the Rough Rhinos would work. XD ...Or the Flameos. And Chan isn't worthy of Iroh's love!
PSH, who said anything about love? xD

I'd say Nomads for opening, Flameos for scene changes, and Rough Rhinos for credits.

Is this conversation still about the episode "The Great Divide" or about something completely different that happens to involve the two tribes from the episode? Because a slight off-topic distraction never hurts anyone, but this has been going on for more than a page, so I'd say it's about time to get back on-topic.
And to say something about the episode, I'll say that this is the worst episode of the series, but after watching TLA I found a new appreciation for TGD, which makes the show still good even at its lowest point. Also, the great divide joke in EIP makes this episode worth existing.

I agree wholeheartedly. It added an extra dose of something to EIP - wouldn't have been the same without it.

Apologies for straying off topic SMBH - although that was easily the most entertainment I've ever gotten from The Great Divide Also, the great divide joke in EIP makes this episode worth existing.
I agree wholeheartedly. It added an extra dose of something to EIP - wouldn't have been the same without it. Yeah. I mean, they also made fun of The Drill, but that was more at the fans' expense - the Great Divide joke was pretty much admitting that they screwed up

I commend them for that because this episode truly sucked all around the board.

I gave it a 5, just a "meh" episode. Easily, the low point of the series. Had a couple good moments, but it couldn't be saved. Very few episodes of this series I would give less than an 8.

Ep. 110 review.Ubern00b reviews Avatar: The Last AirbenderSo...yeah, The Great Divide... See ya next episode! ... Okay, okay! There are some things to talk about. Nothing of substance mind, but I might as well mention them. While the animation is butt all the way through, I will give props to the final few minutes for popping in a reference to Gurren Lagaan. Row! Row! Fight da Powah! We also get the first look at the chibi style that would be seen again in the shorts. Just like kids to be mesmerized by something off-screen... Other than that, the only thing to note is the music is nice and instrumental...mostly cause it's constantly playing off the fact that the tour guide's a hick. If you live in a canyon, you might be a redneck...or a cannibal... Ugh! I don't wanna spend any more time on this episode. You don't want me to spend any more time on this episode! What's next? Oh thank god... Ep. 112 review.

I seem to remember thinking the music in this episode was a nice change of pace. It was still in the usual Avatar vein but, as you say added some...hick-ness. That picture of Katara is frightening

Why did I never notice this? That reference alone makes this episode worth watching.

I don't hate this episode like others do, but it's just rather...meh. I felt like nothing happened, and characters areno better or worse for what went on. Yeah, it;s typical for filler, but even good fillercan have something to grab you. This one I really barely paid attention to, mainly because I just couldn't wait till the next one...

This episode wasn't as bad as I remembered. It was bad, nut not that bad. Actually, I can't find anything too offensive about it. It's boring, the jokes aren't great, but I wasn't booing any of the characters. I didn't even think Aang's lie wasn't too out of character. I never saw him as being unshakeable in morality, so the fact that he lied to high heaven because he didn't feel like putting up with some inter-tribal squabble, and because he was hungry didn't make me decry the episode. But yeah, it was boring. Moving on.
