^Yep.  Seasons change, years pass, yet the ground will always be there, waiting for someone to draw a line on it with a sharpie.

And when someone does that, there'll always be the unhappy side waiting for the sharpie to wear off...

Any bets on whether the two tribes made it to Ba Sing Se in the end?

Perhaps they were forced across the Serpent's Pass Tongue

Maybe they got eaten?
...They probably just ended up settling somewhere as one tribe, actually...for some reason I can't see them as citizens of Ba Sing Se.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Zhang had to cross the Serpent's Pass - I really doubt they all had passports. Tongue  Seeing the two tribes cross the Pass together would be equal parts painful, funny, and awkward.  I think they might have settled down somewhere else in the EK, merging their tribes or something.

Both points are undoubtedly true.  It's not like they can relocate thousands of FN citizens after a hundred years of war...

The Zhangs and Gan Jin would make interesting characters in a sticom.

^I do not think I would watch it. Tongue  Probably hurt my brain.  Seriously, they weren't exactly the best Avatar characters...

Maybe they all became Judees Tongue

Haha. The Gan Jins are uptight and the Zhangs are the 'free spirits' - isn't that Dharma and Greg? Tongue

...I know I would definitely want the Zhang tribe leader to be the one to welcome me to Ba Sing Se with a big creepy smile.

^^^But it would be like one of those shows about roommates whoe are opposites.  The Gan JIn would come back to the village and would be like.
Gan Jin: "What happened? The village is a mess!"
Zhangs: "We threw a party last night.  Just a few other villages."
Gan Jin: "I thought we agreed that you wouldn't throw wild parties while we were gone."
And the whole series would be like that.

Those dresses would not flatter a lot of them...just saying. Tongue

So basically a typical sitcom?  (Seriously, is there one that doesn't include a wild, unauthorized party?)  As funny as that would be, I think my brain would still melt. Tongue

^^Not a typical sitcom.  In a typical sitcom they would be roomates, but in this sitcom they'd be village-mates.

Here's your pitch - Ever wondered what every sitcom ever would be like if each character was actually several people?

Maybe they all became Judees Tongue

...I'd rather Long Feng Grin

I guess I just didn't really like their characters all that much. Undecided

And I think I'd die if one of them showed up in a Joo Dee dress.  I don't know if it would be of laughter, or something else entirely...

Excuse me - I apologize.  That is far from typical. Cheesy

^^^I like your pitch.  And also the Gan Jin would never unplug their hairdryers, thus raising the electric bill.  How could this show fail when Bleep My Dad Says is still somehow on TV?

Also, the Gan Jin have their boss around and try to keep the Zhang busy but it all boils over and the Zhang start a food fight but as luck would have it, the boss says its the most fun he's had in a long time and gives the Gan Jin raises (and they're architects).

^I thought they would be traveling business men.  They would all go door to door (as a group) and try to sell a brief case that can turn into a hat for your bison.

^DUDE, RUON-JIAN DUDE!

...Sorry, I sort of love that guy.  I think it's his hair and that epic thing he wears on his hand...[/insanely off topic sorry]

Anyway, I'd vote for Chan. Wink
