Official Description: When Aang and his friends come to the rim of a giant canyon, they are asked to help guide two groups of refugees across. Aang quickly learns that this will be no easy task - the two tribes have been fighting for 100 years, not to mention the vicious wildlife living on the canyon floor.

alot of people don't like this episode, but I think it helps Aang so he learns how to keep peace between groups of people...even when he has to lie a little :p

a sort of under rated episode, though not a high point of the series.
I liked the canyon guide...

Cheesy Didn't quite like it. It was just too weirdly-actiony. I loved the interesting animation used for the different sides of the story, but everything else... BLAGH

The groups of people's names make sense.

Zhang - filthy
Gan Jin - clean

The fighting got really annoying after a while. It was a pretty funny episode none the less. I loved the ending.

who knows. Im hoping we get to see the two tribes again once the gaang reaches bah sing seh. I agree that the fighting got a bit irksome after a while, but it was still a good episode overall.

I find it likely that they might be seen again.  The two groups were headed to Ba Sing Se, so I think it is plausible that the group might come across them once they reach the city.

The show did have one of my favorite moments from the series.  I thought Aang's expression at seeing that tart after discovering both groups brought food with them was priceless.

The only things I liked in this episode were the artwork for Wei Jin's story and seeing Katara and Sokka fight at the beginning. Everything else was just dull for me to watch.

Wei and Jin are two different dynasties in Chinese History. They are in consecutive order.
Wei, then Jin.

I hated this episode, it was totally unnessesary to the plot (which is bad enough IMO) but then it has a really boring theme slapped on it!

Overall, I didn't like this episode. They're going to Ba Sing Se! Wonder if they'll meet up with them.

I know this episode didn't seem that important, but the two groups were going to Ba Sing Se, and thats where the GaAang is right now. My guess they'll meet again either before this season is over, or very early on in the Third Season. The Canyon Guide is really the only highlight of the episode, other than that.

The only interesting part was Aang's lie. I would've never guessed he was lieing.

I almost chocked on whatever I where eating when I watched this and heard the voice for the Gan Jin that where there to resarve a spot. It's the same voiceactor as Robin from T.T. o.o

I also love how this show shows the releasonship between Sokka and Katara. I so can see me and my brother in the way they are acting. Very touching!

I heartly agree, this episode annoyed me but i engoyed the two storys and Aangs story I also love that Zuko up to this point a true bad guy is a terrible lier while Aang the lovable Avatar is awsome at deception.

Meh, it was filler, but it seems to be the only episode Nick ever re-runs...  I liked Aang showing that he can lie, and very well.  Makes me wonder how he picked up on such a talent...

Other than that, meh.  7/10

Well, the episode was ok, but it just didnt fit in of the real meaning of the story. Things are more in oreder and season 2 while season 1 just has random adventures even thought there always on track of the same quest. This episode did show meaning though about how the 2 tribes can work together, even if it means lieing. lol
